(Here is a follow up to our last blog: 2009 Tokyo Auto Show) One car that debuted at the show was the Honda CR-Z. This two seat sports-hybrid delivers 140 horsepower via a 1.8-liter Civic based engine. The IMA system used (motor, battery, electronics) will be similar to the Insight's, in order to cut back on costs. This little high revving hybrid weighs in at a modest 2800 lbs. and squeezes out a decent 29 “combined” mpg's. In addition, a manual gearbox will be offered! (Woo-Hoo!)

It’s too bad this car is all show and no go. The only thing sporty about this extremely disappointing a poorly executed "parts" bin is perhaps its styling. I wish Honda would spend less time with these frivilous mods and actually try to improve the handling and power of this car (ie. do the obvious to everyone except Honda–get rid of the ima system that does absolutely nothing to enhance the performance of this car (all it does is add weight, complexity and make this car slower and worse handling for no benefit in mpg).
this car has lots of potential, can’t wait to see it on the streets or drive one
to hot to handle, can’t waite to by one of those car
